Very ran down, smelly. Reviewed by avonsuperfonman on

As soon as we got to the museum I was like "I hope the inside makes up for the looks outside." When we walked in it smelled like a highly sweaty locker room the entire visit. Kid volunteers ran the museum which to me made it not very helpful friendly. Asking a question was a bit tricky if you did'nt want to interupt the teens talking.
That was not a big deal to me, but I did notice it. What was a big deal was after I prepaid for an entire year of membership we walked through and half of the exhibits were broken and did not work. It was ok, but the animals outside stopped with fish and ducks. These fish were huge though, getting fed 24/7. I don't know if my kids noticed as much as I how ran down it was, although they were upset when they ran from one exhibit to the next and each did'nt work.
Make sure you have coupons to get in or you will be disappointed, I would rather have gone to the Naples zoo.
Pros: No adults to yell at your kids to tell them to be quiet, or quit having fun.
Cons: Most exhibits were down and the museum was very dilapidated.

I went to the Imaginarium because of the exhibits listed on the website, which was gratuitous and self praising, to be generous. When I got there, the place already looked like a let down. The grass out back was overgrown and things looked as if they had fallen into a general state of disrepair. The front of the building was not all that different. Even the statue of Edison, relocated from the mall for better upkeep, looked like it needed a do-over. When I went inside, of course the entrance fee was the usual price, and, even more expected and irritating, the gift shop was in mint condition. Walking around the Imaginarium, I saw that many old exhibits were gone; a beehive, for example, had been replaced with giant cardboard honeycombs. When I went upstairs, there were typos in the dinosaur exhibit, outdated and bluntly incorrect information, and an infinitely looping video that I had seen when I was in the second grade. The hurricane exhibit did nothing but splash water down the side

I just visited the imaginarium with my 9 year old grandson, Stone. He had a great time and thought there were plenty of interesting exhibits there. His favorite was the Hurricane experience and the shadow room. He also really liked the electricity exhibits and the rocket launcher. His brother, Jackson went there last month on a class trip and both would like to go again.
