I spent many years in the hospital recovering from that day. I woke from my coma and an old Blues man lie in the bed across the room. He taught me about life,music,and women. Hey, I'm John. I was pretty vanilla with my last "Self-Summary," so I decided to lighten it up a bit. I'm definitely not a morning person, but sometimes I don't mind getting up early. I enjoy staying up late, although I usually don't like to hang out in clubs(not a big clubber). I'm a pretty decent cook and know my way around the kitchen and the grill. I have a passion for music and it has to surround me constantly. A good book can always be found somewhere near me. I love thrillers and mysteries, maybe a good urban fantasy, here and there. Right now I'm teaching myself guitar(and it's not going as well as I'd hoped). Pointers are welcome. I tend to bite off more than I can chew occasionally, and end up spreading myself thin(which is why I'm on this site in the first place)and don't really have a lot of time for failure, I guess. Hi. I am 49 years old. I live in SW Florida. Love the weather here. My children have moved out and are living on their own. Work in real estate. Like travel, ballroom dancing, music, sailing, movies, etc.

In the last few months, I have been taking ballroom dance lessons and love it.

I have traveled quite a bit over the years, a lot of the travel was by sailboat. Looking forward to more travel, not necessarily by boat, but don't mind if I do. Some of the best places I have been to, were anchorages at bays where the snorkeling was awesome.

Update May 2009: Just returned from my dream trip to Italy. I have to go back, there was not enough time in 15 days to see it all. My 22 year old son came with me for 10 days and we walked so much, at the end of the 10 days I had to take an easy day, and walked only about 3 miles that day. The first day in Venice we walked about 7 of the 9 hours we were out exploring.
